Is there data on Aurum sales or is this your personal speculation? I thought CCP didn't share that kind of information. I'm sure forum users are unlikely to spend more on the game at this point but The majority of players likely don't check the forums and are still in the dark. But that said, yes, it doesn't look good as far as Dust being kept alive past this year.

Speaking of which, and getting back to CCP communication. I wonder if CCP will bother to post something in the login screen (where we have event info and stuff. They could even try to spin it as good news. It would be nice if CCP tried to be honest and open to all players, not just forum users. Lack of future content is kind of a big deal.

Not everyone visits the forums, true, but many do talk to each other in-game, or in the lobby chat, on other third-party forums, and even - dare I say it- face-to-face in person gasp! (madness, I know) Word is spreading and, as it does, I'm sure Aurum sales will decrease along with it. It's only a matter of time.

Originally CCP stated that there were only going to be a few small tweaks on their end, and that would be it, but it's starting to seem that they might be backpeddaling just a little in the face of the recent forum backlash. I guess they realized, in hindsight, that burning their bridges with Legion so early in development was probably not such a good idea. Even so, with the majority of their efforts being focussed on their new baby, I wouldn't expect anything significant or frequent for Dust at this point. Probably just enough to try to keep any more players from walking away altogether and maybe, just maybe, trick a couple of suckers to give them some more money.
